Following  our Public Webinar on 19th November 2024 we provided an update on the revised vision for the former Natwest Sports Ground and team highlighted the changes over the last 18 months, and received some valid questions and constructive feedback from those in attendance.

UPDATE JUNE 2023

Ruach City Church, owner of the former Natwest Sports Ground on Turle Road, is currently considering feedback on their proposals for new sports and community uses alongside new homes on the site of the former Natwest Sports Ground in Turle Road.

The site has been disused since 2007, and given the lack of activity on site, it has unfortunately been subject in recent years to incursions and arson attacks. Over the last year, the Church has worked to find an established operator with a proven track record alongside local sports clubs who are able to breathe new life into Turle Road and bring back sport to the local community. In addition, consultation undertaken with the local community identified new community facilities which there is a shortfall of in the local area.

Our pre-planning application proposals include sports and community uses on the site alongside new homes which will help subsidise the costs of the new community provision.
